Looks like I'm not the only one attracted to the gorgeous scarlet colour...

Macro of my poppy's centre - it was amazingly pretty when I went beyond the scarlet colour (which I love) and focused on the centre of the flower.

Close-up

First poppy of the season in my flowerpot garden!

Lucky clover leaf, dew-fresh.

Very very close-up of one of the flowers... I really liked the silvery-pink of the stamens (I hope that's the correct botanical term).

Sparaxis - three on a stem

Same thing, in B&W - doesnt this look better?

I like the effect of the clouds here.

English Bridge by night (around 11pm), when we cycled back home after a pub crawl.

English Bridge by daylight, around 6pm, when we went cycling down the river path.

Found this friendly fish on my lawn one fine Friday (anybody have a word for "lawn" beginning with "f"?) :) Fishy here belongs to the dog next door.

Strange cloud formation? Nah... probably another jet trail - even if it seems to be vertical!

Treetops at dusk

My neighbour's roses

A Sparaxis - again, I dont know if there is a common name for it. It's a bit ragged at the edges, this flower - but I decided to take a photo anyway.

My gerbera, close-up. Hopefully I'll have a couple of other colours in the near future...

My favourite daisy - the English Gerbera. They come in such glorious, rich colours... but this one is a pale orange - still beautiful, though.

Talk about contrasts... the leisurely balloon and the jet trail left by an aeroplane.

Caught a balloon sailing serenely in the dusk (around 9.30 pm, actually)

Close-up of my weed flower

Really tiny flowers - they were growing on weeds, so I dunno what they are called.

Dont know the common name for this pretty flower, but the name on the seed packet said "Ranunculus". Rather ominous-sounding for such a small thing!

Another rosebud - a yellow one this time. It's gonna be just as fragrant. I dont see the point of growing roses just for their beauty - they ought to smell good too. Best of both worlds!

My lucky clover flower again... perhaps the white door edges are too bright?

My pink rose again.... getting bigger and bigger. And its fragrance is already heavenly!

Lavender-coloured flowers of the garlic-chive herb

Just liked this one
